I can't believe it's already August!
I didn't see as many people or get as much done this summer as I had hoped but I guess there's always winter break. 
I've been packing for my trip back to FL and it's been hard trying to fit everything I need into my suitcases...any suggestions? Has anyone ever mailed something the size of a large suitcase? Just wondering because I don't want to get weird looks at the post office if I try. Sorry, I know this is a poor post after being gone for several months...I'll write a better entry soon.

thanks for all the bday phone calls, emails, and facebook messages...you guys are great
i've realized that whenever i make plans, something always happens to change them completely. i just found out that i don't have to go back to florida until early august because i'll be doing my rotation next summer. i wish i had known about this earlier so i could've actually planned some stuff to do this summer but at least i get to spend a few more weeks in good old chicago
except i hear that the cicadas are supposed to be coming out soon

at last...
i have a place secured for next year!! and even better...it's not in the dorms!!!
here are some pics of the place:
the hallway...with the strangest looking mirror i've ever seen...
the dining/living room...i get a nice view of one of the 10 or so churches on campus (there are more churches than campus buildings)...
the bedroom and bathroom...
the kitchen...looks older than me and has funny little lights hanging from the ceiling
this should be interesting, i heard that the building is 60% elderly and 40% college students...
